Our approach
At Kalam, we walk the talk. Our practice is rooted in anti-racism, anti-oppression, anti-colonialism, and intersectional feminism. We are internationalists and abolitionists working towards collective liberation and in solidarity with grassroots movements .
These lenses and approaches not only guide what we do, but how we do it. We value reciprocity, and center collective, non-hierarchal ways of working. We are process oriented and guided by humility and open dialogue. We pay close attention to systems and power, creating space for listening and learning from the knowledge, wisdom, and strengths that are already in the room with us.
